Calling all Actors in Humboldt County! Open casting call for actors of all ages on March 13th and 14th for an upcoming feature film entitled "Flea," written and directed by Suza Lambert Bowser. The movie, FLEA, addresses the difficult times in which a young boy without economic resources or a stable family foundation must find his way. With the help of a loving and compassionate group of homeless people who have formed a small “neotribe,” Flea matures through a rite of passage that teaches him the importance of his life—his ability to contribute to society. In these tough times, the story of Flea reminds the audience of the American spirit that helped so many people endure and survive the Great American Depression. FLEA is PG-13.

Local Commercials

Local producer for local commercials has inquired about our under 18 talent. They anticipate using more youth and would like to get them from us. So if you or your child is under 18 years of age, then they need to obtain a free entertainment work permit through the state. Since it takes a few days to receive it is a great idea to get one in advance. Once you have one, send us an email so we can keep track of who is permitted to work in the entertainment business. Those with permits will have priority in talent selections. Please check our talent resources for permit instructions.

HSU student films

Casting has taken place for several HSU student films for the school year of 2007. Assisted in casting from notifying talent of taped auditions to selecting specific talent for director run auditions to casting talent for a role.

St. Joseph Hospital Fundraiser

Local hospital is having it's annual fundraiser. For entertainment, Redwood Curtain Casting has given a pool of approximatly 20 men and women of different ages (over 18) for the fundraiser committy to chose from. The talent will dress in full Egyptian garb.

King Chiropractic Commercial
